Dr Maureen Baker: GPs are not able to treat everything

You can't have escaped the John Lewis Christmas advert depicting an old man living on the moon, alone. Without getting into why the old man is living on the moon in the first place, it does highlight the issue of loneliness and, as GPs, we are being asked more and more frequently about our role in treating lonely patients.
