Government confirms pledge to deliver 6,000 more GPs following Queen's speech

The government has confirmed plans to deliver 6,000 more GPs and 50m more appointments in GP surgeries each year by 2024/25, following a Queen's speech that promised steps to 'grow and support' the NHS workforce.
