Choosing General Practice writing competition shortlist announced

The shortlist for this year's GPonline/RCGP Choosing General Practice writing competition has been announced.

The competition invited UK medical students to write an essay of no more than 500 words explaining why they wanted to become a GP. The winning author will receive a John Lewis voucher worth £100.

Over the next two weeks the 10 shortlisted entries will be published on GPonline.com. The overall winner will be announced in early July.

GPonline’s editor Emma Bower said: ‘The standard of entries this year was exceptionally high.
